Welcome to the CWA Local 1180 Retiree Benefits Fund

On behalf of the Trustees and Staff of the CWA Local 1180 Retirees Benefits Fund, congratulations on your retirement. We recognize and thank you for your long, faithful service to the people of the City of New York and wish you a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

Please carefully review the full Retiree Summary Plan Description and the Outline of Benefits for Retirees. They describe the broad array of benefits available to you and your eligible dependents through the Fund. If there are any changes to your spouse’s or dependent children’s information, please complete the required registration form. If your dependent is between the ages of 19 and 26 and has not yet applied for extended coverage, please fill out an Extended Coverage application and return to the Funds Office. You can request a personalized form by contacting the Funds Office at 212.966.5353.

Please be sure you have filled out and returned to the Fund a Retiree Registration Form, along with a signed and executed pink copy of your New York City Health Benefits Application form, and a copy of your pension stub. All required documents should be sent to the CWA Local 1180 Retirees Benefits Funds.

If you have not elected to receive your prescription drugs under a New York City Health Insurance Plan, your CWA 1180 Prescription Drug Program Card administered through Capital Rx (www.cap-rx.com) will be reactivated after the Fund processes your completed registration form and required documentation. Please allow several weeks for processing. If you have any questions please feel free to call the Fund Office at 212.966.5353.
